114 PM CDT TUE APR 15 2014

...RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE RECORDED THIS MORNING AT RUSSELL...SALINA
AND CHANUTE ON APRIL 15TH...

A TEMPERATURE OF 18 DEGREES WAS RECORDED AT RUSSELL THIS MORNING
WHICH BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD LOW OF 26 DEGREES THAT OCCURRED IN
1983. IN SALINA...THE TEMPERATURE FELL TO 21 DEGREES WHICH SET A NEW
RECORD LOW FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 23 DEGREES SET ON
THIS DATE IN 1936. CHANUTE ALSO RECORDED A NEW LOW TEMPERATURE WITH
A VALUE OF 23 DEGREES BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 24 DEGREES
FROM 1928.
