NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
920 AM EST WED NOV 19 2014

...RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE AT CHARLESTON WV...

A RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE OF 12 DEGREES WAS SET AT CHARLESTON WV
THIS MORNING. THIS SHATTERED THE OLD RECORD FOR THE 19TH OF
NOVEMBER.  IT WAS 18 DEGREES SET BACK IN 1951.

THE 12 DEGREES THIS MORNING IS ALSO THE COLDEST ON RECORD FOR SO
EARLY IN THE SEASON AT CHARLESTON. HOWEVER...THERE ARE SEVERAL
COLDER TEMPERATURES IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER.  THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER IS 6 DEGREES. IT WAS SET ON
THE 25TH...DURING THE POST THANKSGIVING SNOW STORM OF 1950...AND
AGAIN ON THE 30TH WAY BACK IN 1929.
