...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL SET AT BALTIMORE MD...

WITH 6.30 INCHES OF RAIN AT THURGOOD MARSHALL BWI AIRPORT...A RECORD
DAILY RAINFALL RECORD FOR AUGUST 12TH WAS SET AT BALTIMORE MARYLAND.
THIS BREAKS THE OLD AUGUST 12TH RECORD OF 4.91 SET IN 1955.

THIS IS ALSO THE SECOND HIGHEST DAILY RAINFALL TOTAL EVER REPORTED
FOR ANY DAY IN BALTIMORE. THE HIGHEST IS 7.62 INCHES SET ON AUGUST
23RD 1933 FROM THE GREAT CHESAPEAKE POTOMAC HURRICANE OF 1933. DAILY
PRECIPITATION RECORDS IN BALTIMORE GO BACK TO 1871.
