            WEATHER FORECAST OFFICE PENDLETON OREGON

SUBJECT:    CHANGE IN FLOOD STAGE FOR THE UMATILLA RIVER AT
            PENDLETON

THE FLOOD STAGE FOR THE UMATILLA RIVER AT PENDLETON (PDTO3) HAS BEEN
CHANGED TO 12.3 FEET OR A FLOW RATE OF 7800 CUBIC FEET PER SECOND.
THE ACTION STAGE HAS ALSO BEEN CHANGED TO 11.0 FEET OR ABOUT 6200
CUBIC FEET PER SECOND.  THE CHANGE IS NECESSARY AS THE LOCATION AND
TYPE OF MEASURING EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN UPDATED BY OREGON WATER
RESOURCES DEPARTMENT AND THE BUREAU OF RECLAMATION WHO OWN AND
MAINTAIN THE RIVER GAGING STATION.
