906 AM CST MON DEC 8 2014 /806 AM MST MON DEC 8 2014/

...EXTENDED OUTAGE OF BIG SPRING NOAA ALL HAZARDS RADIO...

THE NOAA ALL HAZARDS RADIO TRANSMITTER IN BIG SPRING, TEXAS, WILL
BE OFF THE AIR FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD DUE TO AN IMMINENT NEED TO
MOVE THE TRANSMITTER TO A NEW LOCATION. THE TRANSMITTER WILL BE
TAKEN OFFLINE AT APPROXIMATELY 1030 AM CST TODAY. THE RELOCATION
IS EXPECTED TO TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS WITH A RETURN TO SERVICE
POSSIBLY AS LATE AS FEBRUARY.

THE BIG SPRING TRANSMITTER OPERATES AT 162.475 MHZ, SERVING
BORDEN, DAWSON, GLASSCOCK, HOWARD, MARTIN, MIDLAND, MITCHELL AND
SCURRY COUNTIES. LISTENERS IN MARTIN AND MIDLAND COUNTIES CAN
TUNE IN TO THE ODESSA TRANSMITTER AT 162.400 MHZ DURING THE
BIG SPRING TRANSMITTER OUTAGE.
