                     ...AUGUST CLIMATE OUTLOOK...

AUGUST IS THE LAST MONTH OF THE CLIMATOLOGICAL SUMMER SEASON.WARM
DAYS PERSIST WITH OCCASIONAL COOLER MORNINGS TOWARDS THE END OF
THE MONTH. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS OCCUR MAINLY IN THE AFTERNOON
AND EVENING BUT BECOME LESS FREQUENT AS THE MONTH PROGRESSES. AUGUST
IS NORMALLY THE DRIEST MONTH OF THE SUMMER SEASON. RADIATIONAL
COOLING PRODUCES MORE FREQUENT EARLY MORNING FOG.

AT COLUMBUS...THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE STARTS OUT IN THE
MIDDLE 80S(84 DEGREES) AND COOLS SLIGHTLY TO THE LOWER 80S(82
DEGREES) BY MONTH`S END. NORMAL LOWS START IN THE MIDDLE
60S(65 DEGREES) AND COOLS SLIGHTLY TO THE LOWER 60S(62 DEGREES)
BY THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL RAINFALL IS 3.32 INCHES.

AT CINCINNATI...THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE STARTS OUT IN THE
MIDDLE 80S(85 DEGREES) AND COOLS SLIGHTLY TO THE LOWER 80S(83
DEGREES) BY MONTH`S END. NORMAL LOWS START OUT IN THE MIDDLE
60S(66 DEGREES) AND COOLS SLIGHTLY TO THE LOWER 60S(63
DEGREES) BY THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL RAINFALL IS 3.41
INCHES.

AT DAYTON...THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE IN THE LOWER 80S(83
DEGREES DOWN TO 81 DEGREES) WHILE THE NORMAL LOWS START OUT IN
THE MIDDLE 60S(64 DEGREES) AND COOLS SLIGHTLY TO AROUND 80
DEGREES BY THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL RAINFALL IS 2.99 INCHES.

WHAT IS THE FORECAST FOR AUGUST 2014?  THE CLIMATE PREDICTION
CENTER EXPECTS EQUAL CHANCES OF TEMPERATURES AND RAINFALL TO BE
BELOW OR ABOVE NORMAL.
