NOW THAT HOTTER WEATHER IS MAKING A RETURN...ITS TIME TO TAKE A LOOK
BACK AT THE NOTABLY COOL STRETCH OF TEMPERATURES FROM JULY 14TH-
19TH...DURING WHICH MANY PLACES INCLUDING GRAND ISLAND AND HASTINGS
ENJOYED SEVERAL DAYS OF HIGHS ONLY IN THE 70S...BEFORE BARELY
REACHING THE 80S ON THE 19TH.

BASED ON CALCULATIONS OF THE AVERAGE DAILY TEMPERATURE BETWEEN JULY
14-19 (WHICH IS AN AVERAGE OF THE DAILY HIGHS AND LOWS)...BOTH GRAND
ISLAND AND HASTINGS RECORDED NOT ONLY THEIR OVERALL-COOLEST SIX-DAY
STRETCH OF JULY WEATHER IN 10 YEARS...BUT ALSO ONE OF THE COOLEST
STRETCHES OF SIX NON-OVERLAPPING JULY DAYS ON RECORD (PLEASE NOTE
THAT THIS STIPULATION OF NON-OVERLAPPING DAYS ELIMINATES LISTING
