AT DFW AIRPORT...MARCH WAS THE 5TH CONSECUTIVE MONTH WITH BELOW
NORMAL TEMPERATURES.

THERE WERE 4 FREEZES DURING MARCH...BRINGING THE TOTAL FOR THE
SEASON TO 55. THIS IS THE GREATEST NUMBER OF FREEZES IN A SEASON
SINCE THE LATE 1970S.

SNOW FELL ON MARCH 2 AND 3. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT DFW AIRPORT
HAS HAD 5 CONSECUTIVE MONTHS WITH WINTRY PRECIPITATION SINCE THE
WINTER OF 1993-1994.

THE YEAR-TO-DATE PRECIPITATION TOTAL...WHICH IS ONLY 26 PERCENT OF
NORMAL...IS THE 8TH DRIEST ON RECORD.
