A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE EASTERN SIERRA
SLOPES...OWENS VALLEY AND SPRING MOUNTAINS AND RED ROCK CANYON FROM
11 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 AM PDT SUNDAY.

* WINDS:ABOVE 5000 FEET...WEST 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH.
  BELOW 5000 FEET...WEST 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH. THE
  STRONGEST WEST WINDS WILL BE NEAR CANYON OPENINGS ON THE
  NORTHEASTERN SIDE OF THE SPRING MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING: WINDS WILL INCREASE EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...PEAK DURING THE
  AFTERNOON AND EVENING...BEFORE DIMINISHING EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

* LOCATIONS: SPRING MOUNTAINS...INCLUDING MOUNT CHARLESTON AND RED
  ROCK CANYON AS WELL AS KYLE...LEE CANYON...AND DEER CREEK
  ROADS...ASPENDELL...BISHOP...BIG PINE...LONE PINE...OLANCHA AND
  HIGHWAY 395. STRONGEST WEST WINDS WILL BE NEAR CANYON OPENINGS
  WEST OF HIGHWAY 395. HOWEVER...DANGEROUS CROSSWINDS COULD IMPACT
  HIGHWAY 395 FROM OLANCHA NORTH TO THE MONO COUNTY LINE.

* IMPACTS: GUSTY WINDS MAY CREATE DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS IN
  THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. EARLY SEASON WINDS MAY CAUSE HIGHER
  THAN USUAL AMOUNTS OF DOWNED TREE DEBRIS IN THE AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT CROSSWINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE STRONG
ENOUGH TO MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES. IN ADDITION...STRONG WINDS OVER DESERT AREAS COULD RESULT
IN BRIEFLY LOWERED VISIBILITIES TO WELL UNDER A MILE AT TIMES IN
BLOWING DUST OR BLOWING SAND. USE EXTRA CAUTION.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

* TIMING: WINDS WILL INCREASE EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...PEAK DURING THE
  AFTERNOON BEFORE DIMINISHING BY EARLY EVENING.

* LOCATIONS: INYO...ESMERALDA...LINCOLN...CENTRAL NYE AND FAR
  WESTERN CLARK COUNTIES.

* IMPACTS: GUSTY WINDS MAY CREATE DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS
  DUE TO GUSTY CROSSWINDS AND BLOWING DUST AND SAND. EARLY
