...HIGH WIND WATCH IS CANCELLED...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS CANCELLED THE HIGH
WIND WATCH.

WINDY CONDITIONS WILL STILL DEVELOP TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO
SATURDAY AFTERNOON. NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH
GUSTS TO 40 MPH AROUND MIDNIGHT. STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE OVER THE
COASTAL AREAS.

SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 3 PM PST
SATURDAY. THE HIGH WIND WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...WESTERN WHATCOM COUNTY INCLUDING THE
  FRASER VALLEY FROM BELLINGHAM NORTHWARD...LUMMI ISLAND...THE SAN
  JUAN ISLANDS ESPECIALLY THE NORTH PART.

* TIMING...NORTHEAST WINDS FLOWING OUT OF THE FRASER RIVER
  VALLEY WILL INCREASE EARLY THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE INTO
  SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* WIND...NORTHEAST 20 TO 39 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS...STRONG WINDS MAY CAUSE POWER OUTAGES...KNOCK DOWN
  TREE BRANCHES AND POSSIBLY TOPPLE WEAK TREES. TEMPERATURES
  WILL BE IN THE 20S WHICH WILL PUT WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE
  TEENS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 39 MPH
AND/OR GUSTS OF 45 TO 57 MPH ARE LIKELY.
