TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

.A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN WASHINGTON
TODAY AND THEN SWING NORTHEAST INTO BRITISH COLUMBIA TONIGHT.
THIS SYSTEM WILL CAUSE VERY WINDY CONDITIONS OVER PORTIONS OF THE
INTERIOR NORTHWEST. THESE CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR IN CENTRAL
OREGON...THE GRANDE RONDE VALLEY AND THE WALLOWA VALLEY AHEAD OF
THE ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT TODAY...AND THEN ACROSS THE COLUMBIA
BASIN AND THE BLUE MOUNTAIN FOOTHILLS AFTER FRONTAL PASSAGE
TONIGHT AND SUNDAY.

* WINDS: SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH.

* IMPACTS: DRIVING WILL BECOME DIFFICULT ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES ON AREA ROADWAYS. IN ADDITION THESE WINDS
  MAY CAUSE LOOSE OBJECTS TO BE PICKED UP AND BLOWN SOME

* TIMING: WINDS IN THE SOUTHERN GRANDE RONDE VALLEY WILL CONTINUE
  TO INCREASE LATE THIS MORNING AND THEN GENERALLY PERSIST
  THROUGH THE DAY TODAY.

* WINDS: SOUTH 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUST OF 45 TO 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS: TRAVELERS ON INTERSTATE 84 THROUGH LADD CANYON AND
  ON HIGHWAY 237 THROUGH PYLES CANYON SHOULD EXPECT STRONG
  WINDS AND SUDDEN WIND GUSTS. WATCH FOR OTHER DRIVERS WHO MAY
  BE CAUGHT BY SURPRISE AND SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE. HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES WILL BE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO THESE WINDS.
