9 PM MDT THURSDAY...

THE LAKE WIND ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO
9 PM MDT THURSDAY.

* TIMING...GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS TODAY FOLLOWED BY A LULL TONIGHT
  AND STRONGER NORTHWEST WINDS ON THURSDAY. WINDS WILL DIMINISH
  THURSDAY EVENING.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST AT 15 TO 25 MPH TODAY AND NORTHWEST 20 TO 30
  MPH ON THURSDAY...WITH GUSTS APPROACHING 40 MPH AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...THESE WINDS WILL MAKE OPEN WATERS OF THE LAKE ROUGH
  AND HAZARDOUS...AND MAY RESULT IN HIGH WAVES WHICH COULD TIP
  OR SWAMP SMALLER CRAFT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BOATERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION IF VENTURING ONTO FORT PECK
LAKE. FOR YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY...AVOID THE OPEN WATERS. STAY
CLOSE TO SHORE OR AROUND PROTECTED AREAS.
