...HIGH WIND WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 4 PM AKDT THIS AFTERNOON...

A FAST MOVING HIGH WIND EVENT CROSSED THE SOUTHERN PANHANDLE TODAY.
WIND GUSTS AS HIGH AS 67 MPH WERE RECORDED IN HYDABURG. WHILE NO
WEATHER STATIONS ARE LOCATED ON THE SHORES OF CLARENCE STRAIT...THE
WIND SENSOR AT LINCOLN ROCK RECORDED GUSTS AS HIGH AS 96 MPH AND
ESTIMATES OF WINDS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH WERE REPORTED IN POINT
BAKER. ROOF TOP WINDS AT THE KETCHIKAN AIRPORT WERE RECORDED AS
HIGH AS 69 MPH.

THIS WILL BE THE FINAL STATEMENT ON THIS EVENT.
