A SMALL BAND OF SHOWERS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL PERSIST
ACROSS SOUTHEAST ROANOKE COUNTY...MAINLY BETWEEN BENT MOUNTAIN AND
THE CITY OF ROANOKE THROUGH NOON. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
RESULT WITH ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN POSSIBLE JUST SOUTHEAST OF CAVE
SPRING DURING THE NEXT HOUR BEFORE THE RAINFALL TAPERS OFF.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN AREAS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 81 SHOULD BE VERY
LIGHT WITH ONLY SPOTTY SHOWERS WEST OF SALEM.

COUNTIES BEFORE NOON. ANOTHER ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAIN COULD
FALL FROM APPOMATTOX NORTH ACROSS OAKVILLE TO BENT CREEK BEFORE
THE HEAVIER RAIN LIFTS TO THE NORTH. ELSEWHERE...RAINFALL AMOUNTS
SHOULD BE LESS AND MAINLY BELOW ONE HALF INCH DURING THE NEXT HOUR
OR TWO.
