SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH AND ROLLING PLAINS THROUGH
THE AFTERNOON...WITH THE GREATEST COVERAGE ACROSS THE NORTHERN SOUTH
PLAINS. WHILE THE STRONGEST CELLS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
SMALL HAIL...GUSTY WINDS...CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND BRIEF
HEAVY DOWNPOURS...SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED. THESE STORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY TOWARDS THE NORTHWEST AT
BETWEEN 5 AND 10 MILES PER HOUR. WHILE INDIVIDUAL STORMS MAY BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING BRIEF PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL...THE LIMITED
SIZE OF THESE STORMS WILL CONFINE ANY SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL TO VERY
ISOLATED REGIONS. TOTALS OF A QUARTER TO A HALF OF AN INCH OF RAIN
WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THESE VERY LIMITED AREAS...BUT IN MOST AREAS
RAIN TOTALS WILL BE MUCH LOWER...PERHAPS ONLY A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF
AN INCH.
