SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST
AND SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE AND MUCH OF THE TEXAS
PANHANDLE THROUGH 1 AM. THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE
IN AREAL COVERAGE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AS THEY CONTINUE TO
MOVE EAST AND SOUTHEAST. EXPECT HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG WITH WIND GUSTS
OF 40 TO 50 MPH WITH THE STRONGER STORMS. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF AROUND
ONE TENTH OF AN INCH OR LESS CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THE SHOWERS...THEN
RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL INCREASE TO AROUND ONE TENTH TO ONE QUARTER OF
AN INCH WITH SOME HEAVIER AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES OR MORE FROM
THE STRONGER STORMS OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. THE HEAVY RAINFALL COULD
RESULT IN SOME FLOODING OR FLASH FLOODING OF LOW-LYING AREAS AND POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS.
