...THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

AT 825 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN
AREA OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS...PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 25
KNOTS...AFFECTING THE COASTAL WATERS FROM NEAR STONINGTON TO NEAR
EASTPORT. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE
COASTAL WATERS THROUGH 930 AM.

MARINERS CAN EXPECT LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES...FREQUENT LIGHTNING
STRIKES...AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY. IF CAUGHT ON THE OPEN WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF
POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED METAL OBJECTS.
