10/23/2014  F1               COWLITZ            WA   NWS STORM SURVEY

            A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN IN LONGVIEW, WA BETWEEN 1240 AND
            1250 PM THIS AFTERNOON. NWS STORM SURVEY TEAM WAS
            DEPLOYED TO THE SCENE AND RATED THE TORNADO AS AN EF-1
            WITH WIND ESTIMATED BETWEEN 86 AND 110 MPH. THE PATH
            LENGTH WAS AROUND 1.3 MILES LONG AND 200 FT WIDE. THERE
            WAS SIGNIFICANT ROOF DAMAGE TO INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS,
            MINOR ROOF DAMAGE TO RESIDENTIAL HOMES, 25 TO 30 TREES
            SNAPPED OFF OR BLEW DOWN, SOME POWER POLES WERE DOWNED,
            AND AUTOMOBILES DAMAGED FROM DEBRIS.
