...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* TIMING...STRONG NORTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS AREAS NEAR AND
  SOUTH OF THE TIDAL LAKES AS WELL AS ALONG PORTIONS OF THE
  SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA COAST THROUGH MID-MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTH WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS ARE
  EXPECTED. AREAS NEAR THE IMMEDIATE SOUTH SHORE OF LAKE
  PONTCHARTRAIN COULD EXPERIENCE A FEW HOURS WITH WINDS AS HIGH AS
  40 MPH EARLY THIS MORNING. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH TO 15
  TO 25 MPH BY LATE MORNING.

* IMPACTS...STRONG WINDS COULD BLOW AROUND UNSECURED OBJECTS AND
  MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...PARTICULARLY ON ELEVATED ROADS AND
  BRIDGES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 26 TO 39 MPH ARE EXPECTED.
WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR
HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION. SECURE OBJECTS THAT
COULD BE PICKED UP BY THE WIND.
