THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED NEAR THE COAST.
SOME STRONGER STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WITH
RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR. THIS MAY LEAD TO STREET
FLOODING...FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS AND IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

GUSTY WINDS...ELEVATEDS SEAS...AND TIDE LEVELS ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE
NORMAL WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. DUE TO
STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS...RIP CURRENTS WILL BE POSSIBLE. THOSE
HEADED TO THE BEACH SHOULD SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD AND AWAY FROM
JETTIES AND PIERS WHERE RIP CURRENTS WILL BE STRONGER. ALSO DO NOT
SWIM ALONG THE ENDS OF GALVESTON ISLAND...THE SHIP CHANNEL
ENTRANCE AND SAN LUIS PASS WHERE TIDAL CURRENTS ARE ALWAYS
DANGEROUS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY SHOULD BE LESS MONDAY BUT STILL A CHANCE
FOR LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL. AT LEAST SOME CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE IN THE FORECAST WITH TROPICAL MOISTURE IN
THE AREA. UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE WILL LIMIT THUNDERSTORM
COVERAGE DURING THE WEEK.

OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
WILL GENERATE GUSTY WINDS AND BRIEFLY HIGHER SEAS.

ALONG THE COAST...GUSTY WINDS...ELEVATEDS SEAS...AND TIDE LEVELS
ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE NORMAL WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE HOLIDAY
WEEKEND. DUE TO STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS...RIP CURRENTS WILL BE
POSSIBLE.
