THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OFFSHORE AND
NEAR THE COAST. SOME STRONGER STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL WITH RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR. THIS MAY
LEAD TO STREET FLOODING...FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS AND IN POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS.

GUSTY WINDS...ELEVATEDS SEAS...AND TIDE LEVELS ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE
NORMAL WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. DUE TO
STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS...RIP CURRENTS WILL BE POSSIBLE. THOSE
HEADED TO THE BEACH SHOULD SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD AND AWAY FROM
JETTIES AND PIERS WHERE RIP CURRENTS WILL BE STRONGER. ALSO DO NOT
SWIM ALONG THE ENDS OF GALVESTON ISLAND...THE SHIP CHANNEL
ENTRANCE AND SAN LUIS PASS WHERE TIDAL CURRENTS ARE ALWAYS
DANGEROUS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY SHOULD BE LESS SUNDAY INTO MONDAY BUT STILL
A CHANCE FOR LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL ON SUNDAY. THUNDERSTORM
CHANCES DECREASE MORE EARLY NEXT WEEK AS UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDS OVER THE AREA.

GUSTY WINDS...ELEVATEDS SEAS...AND TIDE LEVELS ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE
NORMAL WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. DUE TO
STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS...RIP CURRENTS WILL BE POSSIBLE.

ALONG THE COAST...GUSTY WINDS...ELEVATEDS SEAS...AND TIDE LEVELS
ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE NORMAL WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE HOLIDAY
WEEKEND. DUE TO STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS...RIP CURRENTS WILL BE
POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

ROUGH CONDITIONS MAY CONTINUE DEPENDING ON EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS
INTO THE WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IN
THE GULF WILL LIKELY KEEP WINDS AND SEAS ELEVATED.
