FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
305 PM PDT MON JUL 28 2014

.DISCUSSION...

A STRONG UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL REMAIN PARKED OVER THE PACIFIC
NORTHWEST THROUGH THE WEEK.THE MAIN IMPACTS OF THE RIDGE WILL BE
DRY AND HOT CONDITIONS DURING THE AFTERNOONS AND ONLY POOR TO
MODERATE RELATIVE HUMIDITY RECOVERIES OVERNIGHT. THE RIDGE WILL
DRIFT SLIGHTLY EASTWARD ON WEDNESDAY BRINGING SLIGHTLY COOLER
TEMPERATURES FOR ALL LOCATIONS. IT WILL ALSO PUSH A WEAK UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE THROUGH EXTREME EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH
IDAHO RESULTING IN A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. THE DISTRICTS WILL
REMAIN ON THE WESTERN PERIPHERY OF THE RIDGE THROUGH THE WEEKEND
MEANING MORE HOT AND GENERALLY DRY WEATHER...HOWEVER DAYTIME
HEATING COULD TRIGGER ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS BETWEEN FRIDAY
AND SUNDAY. THE GREATEST RISK WILL REMAIN OVER THE IDAHO PANHANDLE
AND THE EASTERN THIRD OF WASHINGTON.
