FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
344 PM EDT THU AUG 21 2014

...INCREASINGLY WARM AND HUMID THROUGH THIS WEEKEND WITH CONTINUED
RAIN CHANCES...

.DISCUSSION...INCREASINGLY WARM AND HUMID AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE
WESTERN GREAT LAKES REGION THROUGH THIS WEEKEND AS SOUTHERLY FLOW
STRENGTHENS. THIS WILL KEEP PERIODIC SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM
CHANCES...WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE. THERE REMAINS
SIGNIFICANT UNCERTAINTY IN JUST HOW MUCH RAIN FALLS THROUGH THIS
PERIOD. THE WARM...HUMID...AND UNSETTLED CONDITIONS LOOK TO PERSIST
THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK BEFORE COOLER AND DRIER AIR
RETURNS TO THE GREAT LAKES REGION.
