FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTH FLORIDA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL
405 PM EDT WED APR 16 2014

.DISCUSSION...
WITH HIGH PRESSURE TO THE NORTH, EXPECT A SEA BREEZE TO DEVELOP BY MID
DAY TOMORROW. THE ATLANTIC SEA BREEZE WILL DOMINATE AND MOVE WEST THROUGH
THE AFTERNOON. THE FRONT THAT MOVED THROUGH YESTERDAY WILL ALSO BEGIN TO
MOVE NORTH. AS DAYTIME HEATING CAUSES INSTABILITY TOMORROW, THE ATLANTIC
SEA BREEZE, AND THE WEAK BOUNDARY, WILL LIKELY CAUSE SOME CONVECTIVE
DEVELOPMENT, ESPECIALLY AROUND THE LAKE REGION. SOME OF THE CONVECTIVE
CELLS COULD DEVELOP INTO THUNDERSTORMS, AND SOME OF THOSE COULD BE STRONG,
TO POSSIBLY SEVERE, ESPECIALLY AS THE BOUNDARY BEGINS TO NEAR THE GULF
COAST AND POSSIBLY ENCOUNTERS A WEAK GULF BREEZE. MOST ACTIVITY LOOKS
TO BE MID AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING HOURS.

THEN BY FRIDAY, THERE WILL BE AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT WILL
MOVE ACROSS THE FLORIDA PENINSULA. THIS WILL BRING ENHANCED INSTABILITY
TO SOUTH FLORIDA AND POSSIBLY SPARK OFF ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. ONCE AGAIN, SOME OF THESE COULD BE STRONG.

THIS WEEKEND SHOULD SEE QUIETER WEATHER ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA.

FOG DEVELOPMENT IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
