FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/EASTERN AND SOUTHEASTERN IL

.DISCUSSION...
AS A COLD FRONT PUSHES EAST TOWARD THE STATE LATER THIS AFTERNOON
AND EVENING..RAIN CHANCES WILL BE INCREASING FROM WEST TO EAST.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL AVERAGE UNDER A QUARTER OF AN INCH OR LESS
ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA THROUGH THIS EVENING. SOUTHWEST WINDS
AHEAD OF THE FRONT WILL BECOME NORTHWEST ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA
LATER THIS EVENING AND THROUGH THE DAY ON TUESDAY WITH SPEEDS IN
THE 10 TO 15 MPH RANGE. DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED ON TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY BEFORE SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES START TO INCREASE
AGAIN LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND ESPECIALLY DURING THE DAY THURSDAY
AS A STRONGER STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES THE AREA.
