FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
243 PM EDT FRI OCT 31 2014

.DISCUSSION...WEAK HIGH PRESSURE WILL GIVE WAY TO VIGOROUS DEVELOPING
LOW PRESSURE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. SCATTERED SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE
MAINLY FROM LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE WILL BE LIMITED...AND RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE LIKELY
TO BE AROUND ONE-QUARTER INCH OR LESS FOR MOST LOCATIONS. MUCH COLDER
AIR WILL MOVE IN SATURDAY AND REMAIN THROUGH THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEK.
THE BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE ACROSS THE NORTHERN MIDLANDS...MAINLY
NEAR THE NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA BORDER.

EXPECT STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS ON SATURDAY...AT 15 TO 25 MPH WITH HIGHER
GUSTS (SURFACE)...AND 30 TO 40 MPH (TRANSPORT).

FOG IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE FORECAST PERIOD.
