* FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN...
  APPLING COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST GEORGIA...
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...SURRENCY...PLANT HATCH...BAXLEY...

* UNTIL 915 PM EDT

* AT 717 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF
STRONG AND SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL
OVER APPLING COUNTY. THESE STORMS HAVE ALREADY PRODUCED RAINFALL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES...WITH ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES LIKELY
THROUGH 915 PM EDT SUNDAY EVENING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES.
ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF
CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND. MAKE THE
SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
