THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAY MAINE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN...
  CENTRAL SULLIVAN COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW HAMPSHIRE...
  WESTERN MERRIMACK COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW HAMPSHIRE...

* UNTIL 515 PM EDT

* AT 1122 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN THAT WILL
  CAUSE FLOODING. OVER 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN PORTIONS OF
  THE WARNING AREA WITH MORE RAIN ANTICIPATED OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL
  HOURS. SMALLER RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE EXPECTED TO RISE ABOVE FLOOD
  STAGE THIS AFTERNOON.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  FRANKLIN...HENNIKER...NEW LONDON...HOPKINTON...BRADFORD...
  DANBURY...WARNER...MOUNT SUNAPEE STATE PARK...NEWPORT...JOHN HAY
  NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE...WADLEIGH STATE PARK...GRAFTON...
  BOSCAWEN...GRANTHAM...ANDOVER...LEMPSTER...HILL...ACWORTH...GOSHEN
  AND CROYDON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES IN URBAN AREAS.
ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF
CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
