DRAINAGE AREAS REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR BRISCOE...CHILDRESS...EASTERN
SWISHER AND HALL COUNTIES UNTIL 300 AM CDT...

AT 217 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN MAINLY FROM EASTERN HALL INTO
CHILDRESS COUNTIES. ADDITIONAL RAIN JUST TO THE NORTH ALSO WAS
EDGING SOUTHEAST INTO THE EXTREME SOUTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES HAVE FALLEN FOR MUCH OF THE
EXTREME SOUTHEAST PANHANDLE EARLY THIS MORNING. ADDITIONAL QUARTER
TO HALF INCH AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH 300 AM.

RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
CHILDRESS...MEMPHIS...QUITAQUE...SILVERTON...BRICE...CAPROCK
CANYONS STATE PARK...CLAYTONVILLE...KIRKLAND...MACKENZIE
RESERVOIR...TELL AND VALLEY SCHOOLS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. DO NOT
ENTER THE WATER. TURN AROUND AND MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND. DO NOT
STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
