...The Flood Advisory is cancelled for the Kankakee River...

  Kankakee River near Wilmington affecting Grundy and Will Counties

.Water levels have subsided somewhat on the Kankakee River near
the I-55 bridge. Some areas of open water had developed over the
last 2 days. ice jam remains just downstream of the
bridge and water levels may fluctuate rapidly as the ice moves in
the river. Residents along the river should remain alert for rapid
changes in water levels.


Safety message...River levels may fluctuate rapidly due to ice with
little or no warning. Residents in low lying flood prone areas should
remain alert for possible flooding due to ice jams.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for
  The Kankakee River near Wilmington.
* At  845 AM Thursday the stage was 4.7 feet.
* Action stage is 5.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.5 feet.
* Forecast...Fluctuations in water levels remain possible due to ice.
  Ice jams can result in rapid rises in water levels with little or
  no warning.
