* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  CENTRAL YORK COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MAINE...
  SOUTH CENTRAL CUMBERLAND COUNTY IN MAINE...

* UNTIL 1045 PM EDT

* AT 943 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. RAINFALL RATES OF 2 INCHES AN HOUR ARE CURRENTLY
  OCCURRING AND PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS AND LOW LYING AREAS IS
  EXPECTED...MAKING FOR HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  PORTLAND...SOUTH PORTLAND...BIDDEFORD...WESTBROOK...ALFRED...
  SACO...GORHAM...CAPE ELIZABETH...BUXTON...HOLLIS...OLD ORCHARD
  BEACH...SCARBOROUGH...WATERBORO...LYMAN...ARUNDEL AND DAYTON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
