* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHERN ANDROSCOGGIN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MAINE...
  SOUTHERN SOMERSET COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MAINE...
  EASTERN OXFORD COUNTY IN WESTERN MAINE...
  SOUTHEASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY IN WESTERN MAINE...
  WESTERN KENNEBEC COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MAINE...

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT

* AT 823 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM
THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE AREA. RAINFALL RATES OF UP TO TWO INCHES PER
HOUR ARE POSSIBLE. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND SMALL BROOKS AND STREAMS.

SOME LOCATIONS IN THE ADVISORY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
INDUSTRY...EAST WILTON...WILTON...TEMPLE...RUMFORD...PERU...NEW
SHARON...MEXICO...JAY...FARMINGTON...DIXFIELD...CHESTERVILLE AND
CARTHAGE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER ON COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
