...A SOAKING WINDSWEPT RAIN FOR MUCH OF EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS AND
SOUTHEAST NEW HAMPSHIRE LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THU MORNING...

.HEAVY RAIN WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE NEW JERSEY COAST
AND NEARBY OCEAN WATERS EARLY THIS MORNING WILL TRACK NORTH AND
OVERSPREAD CONNECTICUT...RHODE ISLAND...MASSACHUSETTS AND SOUTHERN
NEW HAMPSHIRE LATER THIS AFTERNOON. HEAVY RAIN WILL ARRIVE BETWEEN
5 PM AND 8 PM TODAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT BEFORE TAPERING
OFF AROUND MIDDAY THURSDAY. A WIDESPREAD RAINFALL OF 1.5 TO 2.5
INCHES IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE WATCH AREA WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS UP TO
4 INCHES POSSIBLE.

* FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF MASSACHUSETTS AND SOUTHERN NEW
  HAMPSHIRE...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN
  MASSACHUSETTS...ESSEX...MIDDLESEX...NORFOLK...NORTHERN
  BRISTOL...NORTHERN PLYMOUTH AND SUFFOLK. IN SOUTHERN NEW
  HAMPSHIRE...HILLSBOROUGH.

* BEGINNING BETWEEN 5 PM AND 8 PM THIS EVENING...CONTINUING
  OVERNIGHT AND THEN ENDING LATER THURSDAY MORNING

* PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN LIKELY AND IMPACTING THE LATE DAY COMMUTE
  TODAY AND AGAIN DURING THURSDAY MORNING/S COMMUTE

* POSSIBLE AREAS OF FLOODING ESPECIALLY IN THE URBAN AREAS.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
