...LAST SIGNIFICANT CREST OF THE RUNOFF SEASON FOR THE WIND
RIVER AND SOUTH AND NORTH FORKS OF THE SHOSHONE RIVER THIS
WEEKEND...

PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND WARM AFTERNOON MOUNTAIN TEMPERATURES
BELOW THE 10000 FOOT ELEVATION ARE EXPECTED TUESDAY THROUGH
FRIDAY OF THIS WEEK.  MILD AND WINDY CONDITIONS ARE ALSO
EXPECTED WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY MORNINGS IN THE MOUNTAINS.
THESE CONDITIONS WILL MELT THE REMAINING SNOWPACK BELOW 10000 FEET
BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK. THE UPPER WIND AND SHOSHONE BASINS ARE
THE ONLY BASINS LEFT THAT HAVE ANY SUBSTANTIAL SNOWPACK AT 9500
TO 10000 FOOT ELEVATION TO CAUSE ANY SUBSTANTIAL SNOWMELT RUNOFF.

THE EXCESS SNOWMELT RUNOFF WILL CAUSE ADDITIONAL SIGNIFICANT RENEWED
RISES ALONG THE SOUTH AND NORTH FORKS OF THE SHOSHONE RIVER AND
THE WIND RIVER THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.  THE RIVERS SHOULD CREST
FOR THE LAST TIME OF THE SPRING SNOWMELT SEASON BY THE UPCOMING WEEKEND.

THE WIND RIVER NEAR DUBOIS IS EXPECTED TO CREST AROUND 5.1 EARLY SATURDAY
MORNING. THE WIND RIVER AT RIVERTON IS EXPECTED TO CREST NEAR 9.1 FEET
LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. THE SOUTH FORK OF THE
SHOSHONE RIVER IS FORECASTED TO CREST NEAR 8.1 FEET EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.

EXPECT MINOR FLOODING ALONG THE WIND RIVER FRIDAY THORUGH SUNDAY.
MINOR FLOODING IS ALSO EXPECTED ALONG THE SOUTH FORK OF THE
SHOSHONE DOWNSTREAM OF VALLEY FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

MOUNTAIN STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL BE FLOWING AT HIGH LEVELS LATE THIS
WEEK.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS STREAMS AND CREEKS DURING THE LATE
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL BE AT THEIR
HIGHEST AT THOSE TIMES.
