.SUMMARY...
DESPITE A FEW BRIEF WARM PERIODS DURING THE SEASON...TEMPERATURES
WERE WELL BELOW THE 30-YEAR AVERAGE. LOW TEMPERATURES WERE THE
COLDEST IN SEVERAL DECADES...WITH READINGS EVEN DROPPING TO THE
SINGLE DIGITS IN EARLY JANUARY. THIS WAS THE FIRST WINTER WITH
SINGLE DIGIT TEMPERATURES AT LITTLE ROCK SINCE 1995-1996.

RAINFALL WAS CLOSE TO THE 30-YEAR AVERAGE...THOUGH BELOW THE AMOUNT
OF THE LAST TWO WINTERS. SNOWFALL WAS NEARLY AN INCH ABOVE AVERAGE...
THOUGH SIGNIFICANTLY LESS THAN LAST WINTER...AS THERE WERE NO
EXCESSIVE DAILY SNOWFALLS THIS YEAR.

.SEASONAL TEMPERATURES...
THE AVERAGE HIGH AND SEASONAL TEMPERATURES WERE THE COLDEST SINCE
2009-2010.

THE AVERAGE LOW WAS THE COLDEST SINCE 1983-1984...AND THE 13TH
COLDEST ON RECORD.

.NUMBER OF DAYS WITH TEMPERATURES...
AT OR ABOVE 70 DEGREES...8...THE FEWEST SINCE 2010-2011
AT OR BELOW FREEZING...60...THE MOST SINCE 1978-1979
BELOW 20 DEGREES...9...THE MOST SINCE 2000-2001
BELOW 10 DEGREES...1...THE MOST SINCE 1995-1996

.RAINFALL...
EVEN THOUGH RAINFALL WAS ABOVE THE SEASONAL AVERAGE...IT WAS STILL
THE DRIEST WINTER SINCE 2010-2011.

.SNOWFALL...
SNOWFALL WAS ABOVE THE 30-YEAR AVERAGE. HOWEVER...THERE WERE NO
EXCESSIVE DAILY SNOWFALLS...AND THIS HELPED LITTLE ROCK SEE THE
LEAST SNOW SINCE THE WINTER OF 2011-2012.

THERE WERE SIX DAYS WITH MEASURABLE SNOWFALL...MAKING IT THE MOST
SINCE THE WINTER OF 2010-2011. THERE WERE 16 DAYS WITH SNOWFALL...
MEASURABLE OR NOT...WHICH WAS THE MOST SINCE 1983-1984. THERE WERE
10 DAYS WITH SNOW ON THE GROUND...MEASURABLE OR NOT...MAKING IT THE
MOST SINCE 2000-2001.
