WITH A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN THE GULF OF ALASKA DURING THE FIRST PART OF
THE MONTH. THE SECOND PART OF THE MONTH WAS DRIVEN BY HIGH PRESSURE IN THE HIGH
ARCTIC AND LOW PRESSURE IN THE GULF OF ALASKA.

TEMPERATURES...NO RECORDS WERE SET DURING THE MONTH IN KOTZEBUE. THE MONTH WAS JUST
SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL IN AVERAGE MAXIMUM...MINIMUM...AND AVERAGE TEMPERATURE. THE
AVERAGE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS THE 25TH WARMEST ON RECORD IN STATION HISTORY.

RECEIVED FORTY THREE PERCENT OF THE NORMAL AVERAGE PRECIPITATION. THE AREA SAW
FRONTAL PASSAGE ON THE 2ND OF THE MONTH...THEN A COUPLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE THIRD
