A PERSISTENT RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE NORTHERN ROCKIES
MAINTAINED WARMER THAN AVERAGE WEATHER IN HAVRE DURING OCTOBER
2014. THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 50.0 FAHRENHEIT WAS THE
TENTH WARMEST OF RECORD. A NEW DAILY RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 81
FAHRENHEIT WAS SET ON THE 20TH. PRECIPITATION WAS ABOVE
AVERAGE...CAUSED BY WEATHER SYSTEMS MOVING FROM CANADA INTO THE
NORTHERN PLAINS ON A FEW DAYS WHEN THE RIDGE AXIS SHIFTED FURTHER
WEST.
