...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS/HIGH WINDS

ALTHOUGH SEVERAL THUNDERSTORMS AFFECTED THE CITY OF KEARNEY AND THE
IMMEDIATE VICINITY DURING THE MONTH...THERE WAS RELATIVELY LITTLE IN
THE WAY OF SEVERE WEATHER REPORTS RECEIVED BY NWS HASTINGS. ON THE
EVENING OF THE 14TH...THERE WERE A FEW REPORTS OF DIME TO QUARTER
SIZE HAIL...ALONG WITH WIND GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH. ONE OF THE HIGHEST
MEASURED WIND GUSTS AT THE AIRPORT DURING JUNE (BUT NOT NECESSARILY
THE TRUE PEAK GUST) WAS 53 MPH...ALSO DURING THUNDERSTORMS ON THE
EVENING OF THE 14TH. NO TORNADOES WERE REPORTED OR CONFIRMED WITHIN
BUFFALO COUNTY DURING THE MONTH.
