ON THE WHOLE...2014 WAS MUCH WETTER AND A LITTLE COOLER THAN NORMAL.
15.00 OF MOISTURE FELL IN GLASGOW DURING THE YEAR...WHICH WAS 3.34
INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. HOWEVER...THE NUMBERS ARE A LITTLE DECEIVING
DUE TO A VERY WET AUGUST. ONLY 23.2 INCHES OF SNOW FELL DURING THE
YEAR...WHICH WAS 11.4 INCHES LESS THAN NORMAL. THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE FOR THE YEAR WAS 42.2 DEGREES. THIS WAS 1.0 DEGREE
COOLER THAN NORMAL.

JANUARY TURNED OUT TO BE A BIT WARMER BUT SLIGHTLY DRIER THAN
NORMAL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 4.4 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL WITH
PRECIPITATION .24 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.

WINTER THEN KICKED IN A BIT WITH FEBRUARY BEING MUCH COLDER THAN
NORMAL. TEMPERATURES WERE 8.5 DEGREES COLDER THAN NORMAL.
PRECIPITATION WAS ONLY .04 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.

COLDER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS CONTINUED INTO MARCH AS TEMPERATURES
AVERAGED 4.2 DEGREES COLDER THAN NORMAL. PRECIPITATION AVERAGED .29
INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THIS CONTRIBUTED TO 6.6 INCHES OF SNOW.

APRIL WAS THE THIRD MONTH IN A ROW OF BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES AS
IT AVERAGED 2.4 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. PRECIPITATION AVERAGED CLOSE
TO NORMAL.

TEMPERATURES IN MAY CAME CLOSE TO NORMAL BUT PRECIPITATION AVERAGED
.52 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.

JUNE CAME IN AS A COOL MONTH WITH THE AVERAGE BEING 2.2 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL. PRECIPITATION TOTALED SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL.

JULY WAS NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURE-WISE BUT WILL BE REMEMBERED AS
BEING DRY. PRECIPITATION ONLY AMOUNTED TO .58 OF AN INCH WHICH IS
1.2 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.

AUGUST REVERSED THE DRY TREND WITH A RECORD RAINFALL ON THE 23RD AND
24TH WITH A TOTAL OF 4.71 INCHES. THIS CAUSED EXTENSIVE FLOODING IN
THE AREA. TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS 6.72 INCHES WHICH
WAS 5.48 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. TEMPERATURES AVERAGED ONLY SLIGHTLY
BELOW NORMAL.

SEPTEMBER WAS SLIGHTLY DRIER THAN NORMAL. THE AMOUNT OF .80 INCHES
WAS .14 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. TEMPERATURES AVERAGED SLIGHTLY COOLER
THAN NORMAL.

OCTOBER WAS A MILD MONTH WITH SLIGHTLY DRIER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS.
TEMPERATURES AVERAGED 4.2 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL WITH PRECIPITATION
.34 OF AN INCH BELOW THE NORMAL OF .75 OF AN INCH.

NOVEMBER WAS MUCH COLDER AND SNOWIER THAN NORMAL. A COUPLE OF FRIGID
PERIODS IN THE MONTH BROUGHT TEMPERATURES TO THE TEENS BELOW ZERO.
TEMPERATURES FOR THE MONTH AVERAGED 8.3 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL WITH
PRECIPITATION AVERAGING .34 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. 11.4 INCHES OF SNOW
FELL WHICH WAS 6.3 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL.

DECEMBER WAS A MILD MONTH WITH TEMPERATURES AVERAGING 6.0 ABOVE
NORMAL. PRECIPITATION CAME IN .29 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.
