...ROUGH SURF WILL CONTINUE INTO THIS AFTERNOON NORTH OF HATTERAS
WHILE THE MINOR COASTAL FLOODING THREAT ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHERN
PAMLICO SOUND HAS DIMINISHED THIS MORNING...

.PERSISTENT NORTHEAST WINDS WILL LEAD TO BREAKING WAVES IN THE
SURF ZONE OF AT LEAST 8 FEET NORTH OF CAPE HATTERAS THROUGH EARLY
THIS MORNING WHILE MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IS OCCURRING ADJACENT
TO THE SOUTHERN PAMLICO SOUND ACROSS PARTS OF CARTERET...CRAVEN
AND PAMLICO COUNTIES.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEWPORT/MOREHEAD CITY HAS
CANCELLED THE COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY.

WINDS HAVE DIMINISHED TO AROUND 25 KNOTS ACROSS THE PAMLICO SOUND
ALLOWING WATER LEVELS TO DROP BELOW 2 FEET ABOVE NORMAL ENDING THE
THREAT FOR MINOR SOUND SIDE FLOODING THIS MORNING.
