.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS OVER WEST VIRGINIA THIS AFTERNOON WILL
TRACK SOUTHEAST TOWARD THE NORTH CAROLINA BORDER THIS EVENING AS
AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE PROGRESSES EAST ACROSS THE MID
ATLANTIC. UNCERTAINTY REMAINS HIGH WITH REGARD TO WHETHER OR NOT
THESE STORMS WILL SURVIVE EAST OF THE BLUE RIDGE. MOISTURE AND
INSTABILITY PRESENT OVER CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA WILL BE MORE THAN
SUFFICIENT TO MAINTAIN ANY THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE
AREA THIS EVENING...ALONG WITH A POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER.

THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ISOLATED SEVERE STORM WILL BE GREATEST BETWEEN
7 PM AND 11 PM THIS EVENING...PRIMARILY NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 64
CORRIDOR NEAR THE VIRGINIA BORDER.
