THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES WILL CONTINUE OVER THE MOUNTAINS ALONG THE
CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TODAY AND TONIGHT. IN ADDITION...BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE EASTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS LATER
TODAY AND OVERNIGHT...AS STRONG WINDS REDEVELOP AND CAUSE
SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY.
WINDS WILL ALSO INCREASE LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT OVER THE SAWATCH
RANGE...THE SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS AND PIKES PEAK...WITH GUSTS
OF 50 TO 60 MPH CAUSING BLOWING SNOW. THE SANGRE DE CRISTO
MOUNTAINS WILL SEE SNOW TODAY AND TONIGHT WITH ABOUT 2 TO 6 INCHES
OF ACCUMULATION BY TUESDAY MORNING. THE UPPER ARKANSAS RIVER
VALLEY AND THE SAN LUIS VALLEY WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...MAINLY TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVER THE MOUNTAINS OF THE
CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TUESDAY MORNING...BEFORE DIMINISHING IN
INTENSITY THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. GENERALLY LIGHT SNOWFALL WILL
THEN CONTINUE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH DAY WEDNESDAY.

PERIODS OF SNOW WILL ALSO BE SEEN OVER THE REST OF THE MOUNTAINS
AND HIGH IN VALLEYS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...WITH LIGHT TO
MODERATE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED. BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS
CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN ON TUESDAY...CAUSING
AREAS OF REDUCED VISIBILITY IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...ESPECIALLY
OVER THE HIGH MOUNTAIN PASSES.

LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
LOWER SLOPES OF THE EASTERN MOUNTAINS AND I-25 CORRIDOR THROUGH
THE EASTERN PLAINS LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE DAY WEDNESDAY.
WELL BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES WILL AGAIN BE EXPERIENCED ACROSS
THE AREA TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...AS ANOTHER ROUND OF ARCTIC AIR
SURGES ACROSS THE ROCKIES.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL BE
LIKELY OVER THE MOUNTAINS TODAY AND TONIGHT...AND WILL BE POSSIBLE
LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT IN THE SAN LUIS VALLEY AND THE UPPER
ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY.
