THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

INCREASING WINDS AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING STORM SYSTEM WILL LEAD TO
HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY ACROSS MOST OF THE LOWER ELEVATIONS. LOW
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES...DRY FUELS...AND GUSTY WINDS WILL RESULT IN THE
POTENTIAL FOR RAPID FIRE GROWTH AND ERRATIC FIRE BEHAVIOR. EXTREME
CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED AS A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR
THE SAN LUIS VALLEY...INTERSTATE 25 CORRIDOR...AND EASTERN PLAINS.
THIS AFTERNOON...A FEW HIGH-BASED THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP OVER THE
AREA. ISOLATED DRY LIGHTNING WILL BE A THREAT FROM THESE STORMS...IN
ADDITION TO ISOLATED WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE SAN
LUIS VALLEY ON THURSDAY.

ISOLATED CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE POSSIBLE THURSDAY
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING OVER THE REGION.

SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS...THE PIKES
PEAK REGION AND NORTHERN EL PASO COUNTY THURSDAY NIGHT. SEVERAL
INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.
ACROSS NORTHERN EL PASO COUNTY...SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE ON GRASSY
AREAS...WHILE THE ROADWAYS SHOULD REMAIN WET.

ON SATURDAY...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL ONCE AGAIN BE
POSSIBLE OVER THE FAR SOUTHEAST PLAINS.

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER THE ENTIRE
REGION BOTH SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
