THIS OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS AS WELL AS
MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION...
PATCHES OF DRIZZLE WILL FORM THIS TONIGHT. VISIBILITY WILL BE LOCALLY
REDUCED IN THE DRIZZLE...BUT AT THE MOMENT ENOUGH OF A SOUTH WIND IS
EXPECTED TO PREVENT WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
MONDAY...NO HAZARDS.
TUESDAY...WINTER WEATHER POTENTIAL.
WEDNESDAY...WINTER WEATHER POTENTIAL.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...VERY HIGH FIRE WEATHER POTENTIAL.
SATURDAY...NO HAZARDS.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
A LARGE WEATHER SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY ORGANIZING OVER THE CENTRAL UNITED
STATES. STRONG JET STREAM WINDS OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WILL ARRIVE
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY TOMORROW AND TUESDAY. THE WAY IN WHICH
THESE FASTER WINDS ALOFT INTERACT WITH THE DEVELOPING SYSTEM WILL BE
THE KEY TO THE WINTER WEATHER POTENTIAL IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS ON TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. TWO SCENARIOS ARE
IN PLAY AT THE MOMENT... ONE THAT THE SYSTEM ALOFT ORGANIZES AROUND A
CENTER IN OR NEAR OKLAHOMA. THE SECOND POSSIBILITY IS THAT THE CENTER
ORGANIZES IN OR NEAR IOWA. RIGHT NOW WE ARE FORECASTING A CHANCE OF
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS IN FAR NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND FAR NORTHWEST
ARKANSAS FROM TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. CONSIDERABLE
UNCERTAINTY EXISTS AND THOSE WITH WINTER WEATHER SENSITIVE PLANS WILL
WILL WANT TO FOLLOW THE FORECAST CLOSELY.

GUSTY WINDS AND DRIER AIR BEHIND THE WEATHER SYSTEM WILL RESULT IN
INCREASE FIRE SPREAD POTENTIAL.
