ACROSS MOST OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS.

THE BUILDING RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BECOME A PERSISTENT
FEATURE OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS...AND WILL RESULT IN CONTINUED HOT
AND DRY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION INTO NEXT WEEK. AFTERNOON HEAT
INDICES BETWEEN 100 AND 105 DEGREES CAN BE EXPECTED DAILY DURING THIS
TIME PERIOD ACROSS MOST OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS.
THE UPPER RIDGE MAY BREAK DOWN JUST ENOUGH NEXT WEEK TO ALLOW
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES TO INCREASE SLIGHTLY...ALONG WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES THAT WOULD BE A FEW DEGREES COOLER.
