THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST
FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
AMPLE MOISTURE COMBINED WITH DAYTIME HEATING AND THE SEA BREEZE
CIRCULATIONS WILL SUPPORT SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION TODAY. STORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL
GENERALLY MOVE WEST TO EAST AND WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING
STRIKES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
AMPLE MOISTURE COMBINED WITH DAYTIME HEATING AND THE SEA BREEZE
CIRCULATIONS WILL SUPPORT SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION ON SUNDAY. STORMS THAT DEVELOP
WILL GENERALLY MOVE WEST TO EAST AND WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING
STRIKES. DURING EARLY NEXT WEEK...UPPER RIDGING WILL BUILD IN OVER
THE CENTRAL PENINSULA. DRIER MID LEVEL AIR AND SUPPRESSION FROM
THE UPPER RIDGE WILL LOWER RAIN CHANCES ACROSS THE REGION WITH
LESS THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE EXPECTED.

...EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
EACH AFTERNOON DURING THE WORK WEEK...SEVERAL HOURS OF DANGEROUSLY
HOT TEMPERATURES WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE INTERIOR OF WEST
CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST FLORIDA. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES
AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN
WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE LIKELY. HEAT INDEX VALUES ARE FORECAST TO
REACH UP TO 105 TO 108 EACH AFTERNOON. DRINK PLENTY OF
FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE
SUN...AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS. GIVE PETS EXTRA
WATER AND BRING THEM INDOORS IF POSSIBLE.
