THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED ICE ACCUMULATION RISK.
  ELEVATED SNOW AND SLEET RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  A BAND OF SCATTERED SLEET AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL PUSH EAST
  THROUGH EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI
  INTO MID AFTERNOON. VERY MINOR ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW AND
  SLEET WILL BE POSSIBLE...BUT ANY IMPACTS WILL BE MINIMAL.

  A HEAVIER BAND OF SNOW...SLEET...AND SOME RAIN WILL THEN
  OVERSPREAD THE OUTLOOK AREA FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST
  LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL
  TRANSITION TO PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE LATE TONIGHT.

  TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE HALF INCH TO 2 INCHES ARE
  EXPECTED ALONG AND NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 60 CORRIDOR. MINOR
  ACCUMULATIONS OF SLEET ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. ANY ICE ACCUMULATION
  FROM FREEZING DRIZZLE WOULD BE VERY MINOR. TRAVEL MAY BE
  IMPACTED LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE THURSDAY MORNING COMMUTE
  ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES...OVERPASSES AND UNTREATED ROADS.

  WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM LATE THIS AFTERNOON
  THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

  THERE IS A LIMITED POTENTIAL FOR MORE PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE
  LATE THURSDAY NIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY MORNING ACROSS CENTRAL
  MISSOURI.

  LIGHT SNOW WILL IMPACT FAR SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI FRIDAY NIGHT.
  ANY ACCUMULATION WOULD BE MINOR AND CONFINED TO AREAS SOUTHEAST
  OF BRANSON TO SALEM LINE.
