OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

PERIODIC CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR FROM LATE FRIDAY
NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY. ACTIVE WEATHER IN THE FORM OF A FEW STRONG
TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER THE UPCOMING WEEKEND AS A
DISTURBANCE MOVES FROM THE PLAINS THROUGH MISSOURI. LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE.

A WARMING TREND AND INCREASED MOISTURE WILL ALSO LEAD TO AFTERNOON HEAT
INDEX VALUES REACHING THE MID 90S TO NEAR 100 DEGREES OVER PARTS
OF THE AREA OVER THE WEEKEND AND INTO NEXT WEEK.
