THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN...
WESTERN...CENTRAL...AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN NORTH
TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND NON-SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE
OVER FAR NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. HEAVY
RAINFALL AND LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL BE THE MAIN CONCERN WITH
THIS ACTIVITY. STORMS SHOULD DECREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY
FROM LATE MORNING THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.

LATER THIS AFTERNOON...ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
TO DEVELOP OVER THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES AND FAR
NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA. A FEW STRONG TO MARGINALLY SEVERE
STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE...MAINLY NORTH OF A CHEROKEE TO SEILING
TO ELK CITY LINE. STRONGER STORMS MAY BE ACCOMPANIED BY WIND
GUSTS TO 60 MPH...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAINFALL.
STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AS A
SLOW MOVING FRONT AND UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM MOVE INTO WESTERN
OKLAHOMA. WHILE A FEW STRONG STORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...THE
MAIN HAZARD WILL TRANSITION TO A HEAVY RAINFALL AND LOCALIZED
FLOODING THREAT.

.HEAT...
AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL ONCE AGAIN RANGE FROM THE MID
90S TO LOW 100S TODAY. THIS COMBINED WITH INCREASING MOISTURE
WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX VALUES AROUND 100 DEGREES MOST PLACES.
FOLLOW HEAT SAFETY GUIDELINES TO PROTECT FROM HEAT RELATED ILLNESS
AND INJURY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
AS A SLOW MOVING UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM AND COLD FRONT MOVE
ACROSS THE REGION...THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL BE ON THE RISE
FROM THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THIS SYSTEM SHOULD EXIT THE
REGION BY EARLY SUNDAY...BUT ANOTHER FRONT IS EXPECTED TO APPROACH
NORTHERN OKLAHOMA EARLY NEXT WEEK...RESULTING IN ANOTHER CHANCE
OF SHOWERS AND STORMS.

HEAVY RAINFALL...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING MAY
ACCOMPANY STRONGER STORMS THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...BUT
ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER APPEARS UNLIKELY.
