THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH
CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

A COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER THE MID WEST
TONIGHT...AND THEN MOVE EAST-SOUTHEASTWARD TOWARDS THE CENTRAL
APPALACHIANS. THIS COMPLEX OF STORMS COULD AFFECT SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA
AND POSSIBLY EXTREME NORTHEAST TENNESSEE LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING...BRINGING THE POSSIBILITY OF DAMAGING WINDS AND
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

A STRONG COLD FRONT...ALONG WITH AN ASSOCIATED STRONG WIND FIELD...
WILL THEN APPROACH THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN REGION SUNDAY AFTERNOON
AND EVENING...BRINGING A BETTER CHANCE FOR STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS. THESE STORMS ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING WILL
HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS...VERY LARGE
HAIL...AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. IN ADDITION...AN ISOLATED TORNADO
OR TWO WILL BE POSSIBLE.


.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED EARLY SUNDAY MORNING OVER SOUTHWEST
VIRGINIA AND NORTHEAST TENNESSEE...BUT WILL LIKELY BE NEEDED OVER
THE ENTIRE REGION ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
