THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH
CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

COLDER NORTHWEST FLOW CONTINUING TO MOVE BEHIND A LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM WILL KEEP SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS HIGHER ELEVATIONS THROUGH MUCH
OF THE NIGHT. RAIN SHOWERS MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO SNOW SHOWERS
IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS AS WELL...BUT LITTLE OR NO ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED THERE. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED MAINLY AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2500 FEET IN THE EAST TENNESSEE
MOUNTAINS. AROUND AN INCH OR LESS OF SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS HIGHER ELEVATION AREAS OF SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA AND
THE NORTHERN PLATEAU. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER
THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS.

PLEASE STAY TUNED TO YOUR NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR FAVORITE RADIO AND
TV STATION FOR THE LATEST WEATHER FORECAST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL BRING RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE TO
NORTHEAST TENNESSEE...SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA...AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS ON
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. A POSSIBILITY OF SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO
AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE MAINLY FRIDAY MORNING. ANOTHER WAVE OF SNOW
SHOWERS IS EXPECTED SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY...MAINLY AFFECTING
HIGHER ELEVATIONS.
