ALABAMA...SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...NORTHWEST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A MUCH COLDER AIRMASS MOVES ACROSS THE CENTRAL GULF COAST REGION
TODAY AS A BROAD ARCTIC SURFACE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE EXPANDS
ACROSS THE DEEP SOUTH. VERY COLD TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST FOR
TONIGHT...WITH LOWS RANGING FROM 23 TO 28 NORTH OF THE COAST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES OF THE SEASON SO FAR WILL LIKELY OCCUR
TUESDAY NIGHT AND EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING WITH LOWS PLUNGING TO
AROUND 20 DEGREES OVER SOME INTERIOR AREAS. A HARD FREEZE IS LOCALLY
DEFINED AS 20 DEGREES OR COLDER. AS A RESULT A HARD FREEZE WATCH
REMAINS IS IN EFFECT FOR TUESDAY NIGHT FOR MOST INLAND AREAS OF
SOUTHWEST ALABAMA AND SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI. THE WATCH MAY BE UPDATED
TO A HARD FREEZE WARNING LATER TODAY OF TONIGHT. STAY TUNED FOR
UPDATES ON THIS COLD WEATHER OUTBREAK.

VERY DRY CONDITIONS ON TUESDAY SUPPORTS AN INCREASED RISK OF
WILDFIRES AS MINIMUM AFTERNOON HUMIDITY VALUES DROP TO BELOW 25
PERCENT OVER MANY AREAS.

AREAS TODAY WITH A GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FOR THE OFFSHORE GULF
WATERS FROM 0 TO 60 NM OUT INCLUDING THE LOWER END OF MOBILE BAY
TONIGHT AND EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS FOR SMALL CRAFT WILL CONTINUE OVER THE MARINE
